Full Scholarship to Attend Rollins College under the REEL Program with The Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando

Application Deadline – April 15, 2016

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 14, 2016) — Rollins College and the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando (HHSFMO) are pleased to announce the continuation of a partnership to award one full-tuition scholarship to a new student entering the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins in the fall under the Rollins Evening Emerging Leaders (REEL) Scholarship Program.

“Working with the Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund to provide this opportunity for students is an important step for our evening school,” said David CS Richard, Dean of the Hamilton Holt School. “The mission of the College is to provide a high quality, liberal arts education. As a top provider of adult higher education in Central Florida for over 50 years, it is natural that the Hamilton Holt School would partner with an outstanding community partner like the HHSFMO."

The full-tuition scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate adult student seeking a degree within the Hamilton Holt School at Rollins College. Scholarship applicants must live within a 60-mile radius of Rollins College and be a Florida resident. When combined with available Federal and State aid, the award covers the cost of full-time tuition (three four-credit courses per fall and spring terms). The award is competitive and is renewable at the same level for a total of up to five academic years from the initiation of the award or until graduation, whichever comes first. As part of the scholarship award, awardees will complete leadership training and management internships over the course of their educational experience at Rollins.

Although a goal of both partners is to increase the number of Hispanic students at Rollins College, the scholarship award will be made based on applicant qualifications, not ethnicity or racial characteristics. This award may not be combined with other Rollins institutional grants or scholarships and is not available to currently-enrolled Hamilton Holt School students.
